Technology is changing the world

The expectation in society shifts fast for products not bringing only a personal and commercial benefit but also contributing to the well-being of society with humanity being seen as part of a nature system. Science & Technology play a crucial role for enabling and accelerating this transition. Well known examples are Solar Technologies for C02 reduction, Smart Metering for reducing energy consumptions or recycle technologies reducing waste. The other side is that electronics uses at the same time natural resources, rare earth for mobile phones and batteries being the one most known and in a global spot light. Therefore sustainability has to be increasingly considered in the production of electronics.

Institutional Investors and stake holders have today increased expectations going beyond Standard CSR policies. Companies have to show their engagement to the Sustainable Development Goals and make transparent how the offered products contribute.

I am active within the Major Group Engagement Mechanism at the UN and participate in Regional and Global High Level Political Forums. I am very open to cooperation for such topics within industry associations and international institutions.
